Course Description
Planning, storyboarding, workflow, and techniques of capturing audio and video.
Course Goals
Students completing the course will:
- describe features of a digital video camera, including video file modes;
- demonstrate the use of video digital camera controls;
- demonstrate the use of composition rules, such as camera placement, framing, and movement;
- apply digital video workflow to their project planning;
- pre-plan a video shoot, inluding proposal writing, hiring, budget planning, and time schedule;
- plan a video shoot;
- prepare a storyboard and write a script for the video production;
- use digital video camera to tell a story, promote a product, or make a quick movie;
- understand lighting fundamentals;
- capture a simple movie;
- apply different lighting techniques to different shooting situations; and
- apply different techniques of capturing video and audio.
